Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)

In March 2021 the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) will be performing a virtual reaccreditation site visit for the School of Nursing. The last CCNE review was in 2015 for accreditation of our graduate nursing program. In accordance with CCNE’s procedures, the Commission provides the opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit, in writing, third-party comments concerning a program’s qualifications for accreditation.

Physical, Spiritual and Sociocultural

In the School of Nursing, we strongly believe, and teach our students, that true healthcare involves sociocultural understanding and spiritual encouragement in addition to the physical. You’ll find opportunities for hands-on learning in local hospitals, clinics and community outreach programs, as well as internship programs and service trips through the Gregory Center for Medical Missions. And upon the successful completion of your first semester of your junior year you’ll qualify to work as a nurse technician at most local hospitals.

Our nursing programs are among the best in Florida. And we’re the only Christian university nursing program in the state that’s nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). As a student here you’ll have access to advanced patient simulation resources and nursing lab technologies. With concepts of faith at the center of everything you experience, you’ll gain a more well-rounded preparation. And we offer a program for high school seniors who, upon meeting the qualifications, can be pre-admitted to the nursing program.
